Aion Guide

Aion: The Tower of Eternity introduces an abundance of new features to the concept of MMORPGs. First off would be the highly rumored 'Aerial Combat'. In other words: free flying; a truly complete three dimensional sensation for players. Adding on to that is the ability for players to engage in fights while in mid-air.

Aion Templar Guide

The Templar is one of the two advanced classes that Warriors can choose from at Level 10.  They are generally considered the Tanks of the game, but they aren'9t merely restricted to being a meat shield.  This class can DPS as well as take damage, and their tanking strategy doesn't mean merely standing around taking damage.

Aion Gladiator Guide

The Gladiator is an advanced class that the Warrior can become once they Ascend.  This class is the heavy duty, in your face melee DPS champion.  They are masters of two handed weapon combat, and have high health and defense.  They are mainly a physical damage class, and their gear and abilities reflect that.  Unlike the Templar, they cannot do any kind of healing.

Aion Scout Guide

The Scout is one of Aion's four base class archetypes.  This class can be played until Level 10, which is when a character receives its wings and players are allowed to pick from one of the two specialized subclasses, the Ranger and the Assassin. These two classes are covered in detail in their own articles.  The Scout is a leather-wearing melee class and he is all about speed, agility, and awareness.  This class is quite useful in parties, but it really shines as a solo class if a player prefers to do things on their own rather than with others.

Aion Warrior Guide

The Warrior is the last of the four base character archetypes in Aion.  A player who chooses the warrior archetype is given the choice between the Templar and the Gladiator.  The Warrior archetype is the heavy melee and tank class of the game.  They are made to stand toe to toe with enemies, and either devastate them with their melee attacks or guard the physically weaker members of their parties from the monster's attacks.  Later on down the line the Warrior can decide whether to be a tank, a DPS, or even a healer, as the available subclasses have a number of choices and interesting skills.
The Spiritmaster is the other advanced character class that can be chosen after playing the Mage subclass to Level 10.  This is another casting class, and the only summoning class in the game.  They are considered a ranged DPS with significant Pet DPS to boost their own damage and keep their fragile, cloth wearing bodies safe.  They too have a kind of mastery over the elements, but rather than just elemental spells like the Sorcerer they can control water, earth, air and fire spirits.

Aion Sorcerer Guide

The Sorcerer is a master over the elements of the world.  They are a subclass of the Mage archetype, and over their many quests they receive a wide variety of spells that both help them bind and damage their foes.

Aion Mage Guide

The Mage is another one of the four base archetype classes in Aion.  At Level 10, they can choose to become either Sorcerors or Spiritmasters.  They are the major damage class in Aion, as they have typically become in many other games.  To counter their massive damage output, however, they are also extremely vulnerable.  Mages can control the elements, and need high evasion skills to keep themselves alive whenever enemies attack them.  As is common, mages can only wear cloth armor, and have a large variety of spells.

Aion Chanter Guide

The Chanter is one of the two advanced classes in Aion; at Level 10, after Ascension, the Priest archetype can choose this class.  The Chanter is a melee-heavy class that inflicts damage through stuns, crowd control and debuffs while still being able to maintain above average direct melee damage.

Aion Cleric Guide

The Cleric is the second of the two advanced Priest classes, and is much closer to what many players will traditionally regard as a Priest type class than the Chanter.  However, it does have great benefits and some new and interesting abilities thrown into the mix so it isn't the same old boring heal bot class.  They are more of a ranged class than the Chanter, and so will be spending a lot of their time in the back of the group with the Rangers and the Mages.  This is always a good place for healers to be anyway, so tanks have more time to pick up loose mobs if the Cleric's healing pulls too much aggro.
