'Malukah' Hits Web With New Elder Scrolls Song, Beauty of Dawn
- Published 04/30/2013
Song writer and singer, Malukah has been turning heads lately with her newest song written for The Elder Scrolls Online. The song is titled, Beauty of Dawn which is a literal translation of the word, “Tamriel” has made its debut online. It is undeniable Malukah is an extremely talented artist capturing the attention of ZeniMax Online Studios itself. By collaborating with the dev team, Malukah and the team produced the Beauty of Dawn which now exceeds over 100k views on YouTube alone.
According to NBC News, Malukah is a big fan of The Elder Scrolls franchise. Previously, she wrote songs for Skyrim entitled, Tale of the Tongues, Age of Aggression and Malu cansta Skyrim. All three videos contain over 1 million views and became a viral sensation.
Malukah does not only produce songs just for Elder Scrolls, she writes songs and produces music for video games, mobile games and other projects as well. In an interview, Malukah mentions creating music is a learning experience for her to deconstruct an artist's work and arrange it in a way it reflects how a song can be interpreted in her own way.
Collaborating with the dev team, Malukah stated it is an honor to be working with the very people in creating a game from a franchise she loves. For companies to work with talented fans, it brings both parties closer into integrating ideas from fans to create something utterly unique. In this case, literally, a song was born out of that collaboration. It can be speculated that Malukah's cover can be heard in the game as a part of the game's opening or ending sequences. Although there's no definitive and confirmed source, it still remains a high possibility it may happen.
The Elder Scrolls Online PAX East Impressions 2013
- Published 03/29/2013
WoW has been the staple for mmo's alike when it comes to creating an mmo that will be long lasting. However, with ESO, players are seeing something new... something fresh for once. After players got their hands on the mmo, the reviews are nothing short but impressive. ESO is a game centered heavily around the story. All the quests in the game are not random quests which appear in most mmos; the quests are given to players by NPCs who in fact, are living through their stories. The quests are meant to help them and help you understand more of the story and its dynamic conflicts.
Quests in ESO are dynamic meaning, you can choose more than one way of completing it. In the demo, you need to help out a man who's wife needs help. It's your job to get help but in doing so, you have to go through a pirate camp. Here, you have two options: Fight your way through the pirate camp or sneak around them. Strategically this is a plus point for the game; players who wish to avoid conflict can do so this way. Although this is unconfirmed if players can redo certain quests to achieve a different outcome has yet to be seen. The other aspect about the game is its clean UI interface. Many players praised the UI to be clean which doesn't clog up the screen. Players can view things more clearly without having the UI obstructing the environment. When skills are used, they flash on the screen and then gradually fade away.
Coupling with skills, a new class has been revealed: the Nightblade. One of the standing characteristics of the game is the fact classes aren't the main focus. Yes, the game contains classes but skill trees are open. Players have the ability to create a character borrowing skills from another class entirely. In addition, classes aren't restricted to their armor. For example, Sorcerers can wear heavy armor and execute a heap of damage while at the forefront of battle. This way, players have the freedom to create a character the way they want rather than be restricted to the game's default settings.
Needless to say, one can only speculate the size of the game once its released along with the planned patches but the game is large enough to perhaps challenge WoW. With polished game mechanics, in-depth lore and unique storytelling, it comes to no surprise The Elder Scrolls Online will be a game worth waiting for. Fans will just have to wait and see the game in action sometime this year. SWTOR Developers Confirms for 2011
- Published 04/27/2011
According to the developers, there will be some repeatable content but the main stories will not, which further emphasizes the significant role on player's decisions in molding the storyline. With the launch date still set for this year, many fans and veteran gamers set up websites to quickly spread the word and provide the latest information about the game such as the fast growing SWTOR Guide website. This is one site that is dedicated to provide future SWTOR gamers with guides for the game. Another notable site, SWTOR Classes featured all the class and advance class information about the game. The known classes: Sith Warrior, Sith Inquisitor, Bounty Hunter, Imperial Agent, Jedi Knight, Jedi Consular, Trooper and Smuggler are covered at the site in good detail.
The full interview with three of SWTOR developers provides a good overview of where the game is at, in terms of launch plans. The pricing options are still being considered and nothing solid has been communicated yet.

The problem might be inherent in the superhero concept. After all, most superhero stories are based on there being just one or a few selected superheroes. But how do you get consistent lore where everyone possesses some kind of superpower?
Another indicator of the problems Champions Online might be facing are the lack of community sites. Champions Online Guide is one of the few newbie-oriented places, and it's just a bunch of introduction paragraphs.
