'Malukah' Hits Web With New Elder Scrolls Song, Beauty of Dawn

Song writer and singer, Malukah has been turning heads lately with her newest song written for The Elder Scrolls Online. The song is titled, Beauty of Dawn which is a literal translation of the word, “Tamriel” has made its debut online. It is undeniable Malukah is an extremely talented artist capturing the attention of ZeniMax Online Studios itself. By collaborating with the dev team, Malukah and the team produced the Beauty of Dawn which now exceeds over 100k views on YouTube alone.

According to NBC News, Malukah is a big fan of The Elder Scrolls franchise. Previously, she wrote songs for Skyrim entitled, Tale of the Tongues, Age of Aggression and Malu cansta Skyrim. All three videos contain over 1 million views and became a viral sensation.

Malukah does not only produce songs just for Elder Scrolls, she writes songs and produces music for video games, mobile games and other projects as well. In an interview, Malukah mentions creating music is a learning experience for her to deconstruct an artist's work and arrange it in a way it reflects how a song can be interpreted in her own way.

Collaborating with the dev team, Malukah stated it is an honor to be working with the very people in creating a game from a franchise she loves. For companies to work with talented fans, it brings both parties closer into integrating ideas from fans to create something utterly unique. In this case, literally, a song was born out of that collaboration. It can be speculated that Malukah's cover can be heard in the game as a part of the game's opening or ending sequences. Although there's no definitive and confirmed source, it still remains a high possibility it may happen.

The Elder Scrolls Online PAX East Impressions 2013

The Elder Scrolls Online has been receiving a lot of attention since its debut at PAX East last week. In doing so, a lot of hype is centered about ZeniMax wondering if they can topple the current mmo king, World of Warcraft.

WoW has been the staple for mmo's alike when it comes to creating an mmo that will be long lasting. However, with ESO, players are seeing something new... something fresh for once. After players got their hands on the mmo, the reviews are nothing short but impressive. ESO is a game centered heavily around the story. All the quests in the game are not random quests which appear in most mmos; the quests are given to players by NPCs who in fact, are living through their stories. The quests are meant to help them and help you understand more of the story and its dynamic conflicts.

Quests in ESO are dynamic meaning, you can choose more than one way of completing it. In the demo, you need to help out a man who's wife needs help. It's your job to get help but in doing so, you have to go through a pirate camp. Here, you have two options: Fight your way through the pirate camp or sneak around them. Strategically this is a plus point for the game; players who wish to avoid conflict can do so this way. Although this is unconfirmed if players can redo certain quests to achieve a different outcome has yet to be seen.

The other aspect about the game is its clean UI interface. Many players praised the UI to be clean which doesn't clog up the screen. Players can view things more clearly without having the UI obstructing the environment. When skills are used, they flash on the screen and then gradually fade away.

Coupling with skills, a new class has been revealed: the Nightblade. One of the standing characteristics of the game is the fact classes aren't the main focus. Yes, the game contains classes but skill trees are open. Players have the ability to create a character borrowing skills from another class entirely. In addition, classes aren't restricted to their armor. For example, Sorcerers can wear heavy armor and execute a heap of damage while at the forefront of battle. This way, players have the freedom to create a character the way they want rather than be restricted to the game's default settings.

Needless to say, one can only speculate the size of the game once its released along with the planned patches but the game is large enough to perhaps challenge WoW. With polished game mechanics, in-depth lore and unique storytelling, it comes to no surprise The Elder Scrolls Online will be a game worth waiting for. Fans will just have to wait and see the game in action sometime this year.

SWTOR Developers Confirms for 2011

In a recent Q&A session with the SWTOR developers, the aimed official launch date for the game within 2011 is still confirmed.

According to the developers, there will be some repeatable content but the main stories will not, which further emphasizes the significant role on player's decisions in molding the storyline. With the launch date still set for this year, many fans and veteran gamers set up websites to quickly spread the word and provide the latest information about the game such as the fast growing SWTOR Guide website. This is one site that is dedicated to provide future SWTOR gamers with guides for the game. Another notable site, SWTOR Classes featured all the class and advance class information about the game. The known classes: Sith Warrior, Sith Inquisitor, Bounty Hunter, Imperial Agent, Jedi Knight, Jedi Consular, Trooper and Smuggler are covered at the site in good detail.

The full interview with three of SWTOR developers provides a good overview of where the game is at, in terms of launch plans. The pricing options are still being considered and nothing solid has been communicated yet.

Champions Online Release

Only a little more than a month until Champions Online hits the shelves. So far it seems to fail to pick up the necessary hype that preceeds the usual launch of every at least halfway successful MMORPG. Will it be able to pull it off anyway, landing another 'Eve Online'? Or is one superhero game enough already?

The problem might be inherent in the superhero concept. After all, most superhero stories are based on there being just one or a few selected superheroes. But how do you get consistent lore where everyone possesses some kind of superpower?

Another indicator of the problems Champions Online might be facing are the lack of community sites. Champions Online Guide is one of the few newbie-oriented places, and it's just a bunch of introduction paragraphs.

Aion is probably still another year away. However, we're already seeing a lot of new sites springing up to fill the ranks of Aion fan sites. From Wikis to Forums, from news sites to blogs, we're soon going to have a full-grown community on our hands for the latest hit from NCSoft.

In terms of community sites, there is already a decent number available:
Aside from AionSource, most of them only have a handful of articles on classes, guides and screenshots taken from the chinese and US Aion beta. However, in the upcoming weeks, we'll probably see those resources expanded a lot.

Aion Guide

Aion: The Tower of Eternity introduces an abundance of new features to the concept of MMORPGs. First off would be the highly rumored 'Aerial Combat'. In other words: free flying; a truly complete three dimensional sensation for players. Adding on to that is the ability for players to engage in fights while in mid-air.

Aion Templar Guide

The Templar is one of the two advanced classes that Warriors can choose from at Level 10.  They are generally considered the Tanks of the game, but they aren'9t merely restricted to being a meat shield.  This class can DPS as well as take damage, and their tanking strategy doesn't mean merely standing around taking damage.

Aion Gladiator Guide

The Gladiator is an advanced class that the Warrior can become once they Ascend.  This class is the heavy duty, in your face melee DPS champion.  They are masters of two handed weapon combat, and have high health and defense.  They are mainly a physical damage class, and their gear and abilities reflect that.  Unlike the Templar, they cannot do any kind of healing.

Aion Scout Guide

The Scout is one of Aion's four base class archetypes.  This class can be played until Level 10, which is when a character receives its wings and players are allowed to pick from one of the two specialized subclasses, the Ranger and the Assassin. These two classes are covered in detail in their own articles.  The Scout is a leather-wearing melee class and he is all about speed, agility, and awareness.  This class is quite useful in parties, but it really shines as a solo class if a player prefers to do things on their own rather than with others.

Aion Warrior Guide

The Warrior is the last of the four base character archetypes in Aion.  A player who chooses the warrior archetype is given the choice between the Templar and the Gladiator.  The Warrior archetype is the heavy melee and tank class of the game.  They are made to stand toe to toe with enemies, and either devastate them with their melee attacks or guard the physically weaker members of their parties from the monster's attacks.  Later on down the line the Warrior can decide whether to be a tank, a DPS, or even a healer, as the available subclasses have a number of choices and interesting skills.
The Spiritmaster is the other advanced character class that can be chosen after playing the Mage subclass to Level 10.  This is another casting class, and the only summoning class in the game.  They are considered a ranged DPS with significant Pet DPS to boost their own damage and keep their fragile, cloth wearing bodies safe.  They too have a kind of mastery over the elements, but rather than just elemental spells like the Sorcerer they can control water, earth, air and fire spirits.

Aion Sorcerer Guide

The Sorcerer is a master over the elements of the world.  They are a subclass of the Mage archetype, and over their many quests they receive a wide variety of spells that both help them bind and damage their foes.

Aion Mage Guide

The Mage is another one of the four base archetype classes in Aion.  At Level 10, they can choose to become either Sorcerors or Spiritmasters.  They are the major damage class in Aion, as they have typically become in many other games.  To counter their massive damage output, however, they are also extremely vulnerable.  Mages can control the elements, and need high evasion skills to keep themselves alive whenever enemies attack them.  As is common, mages can only wear cloth armor, and have a large variety of spells.

Aion Chanter Guide

The Chanter is one of the two advanced classes in Aion; at Level 10, after Ascension, the Priest archetype can choose this class.  The Chanter is a melee-heavy class that inflicts damage through stuns, crowd control and debuffs while still being able to maintain above average direct melee damage.

Aion Cleric Guide

The Cleric is the second of the two advanced Priest classes, and is much closer to what many players will traditionally regard as a Priest type class than the Chanter.  However, it does have great benefits and some new and interesting abilities thrown into the mix so it isn't the same old boring heal bot class.  They are more of a ranged class than the Chanter, and so will be spending a lot of their time in the back of the group with the Rangers and the Mages.  This is always a good place for healers to be anyway, so tanks have more time to pick up loose mobs if the Cleric's healing pulls too much aggro.
